About This Event
The Anil Gochhikar Classic 2026 is Odisha's answer to the country's great strength-sport festivals — three days at Baramunda Ground, Bhubaneswar, where the state's oldest athletic traditions and its newest champions meet on one stage.
Presented by the All Odisha Gym Association, the Classic is built around a prize pool of ₹1.5 crore, among the largest ever offered for the sport in India. Bodybuilding leads the bill with a ₹20 lakh Champion of Champions title, alongside Men's Physique, Classic Physique, Women's Bodybuilding and Bikini. Around the stage the festival makes room for every kind of strength: RANU powerlifting across sixteen weight classes, an all-India arm wrestling championship, and a boxing card.
It is a homecoming for tradition, too. Utkal Kesari, the state's storied dangal, returns after twenty-five years — the champion rides home on a Royal Enfield. And a road run named for Odisha's own Dutee Chand carries the celebration out of the arena and into the heart of Bhubaneswar.
National and international athletes. One stage, one championship. More than a competition — a movement for a stronger, fitter Odisha.
